Thank you for the opportunity to express my views on this issue. I would like to state clearly that not everyone in Montgomeryshire is against the proposed plans. It is true that those who oppose the plans are passionate and very vocal. Thus far, they do not have any other plans that would bring investment to this area. In the absence of investment, our communities will not be sustainable. A large part of the county has already suffered as a result of a lack of development and vision – namely, Llanwddyn. There has been such an emphasis there on keeping things as they are… Now, when it is nearly too late, an interest is being taken in the area.  

If there is no vision, investment and progress, other parts of the county will end up just like Llanwddyn, with no young families, schools or active communities, only retired people. We must move on if we wish to have a viable and sustainable environment.
